Corporate design for Hamburg businesses
Hamburg is home to logistics and port operators, mid-sized machine builders in Harburg, healthcare providers in Eppendorf and Wandsbek, and a long-established hospitality trade around the HafenCity. Every sector has its own visual codes: what signals seriousness in container handling looks stiff on a bistro chain.
For consultancies on the Alster we use clear, reduced typography, with no design noise competing with the content. Logistics and port businesses need strong colours and robust typefaces that hold up on truck panels and workwear. Hospitality and retail need a design that carries on small packaging, menu boards and social formats alike.
We check every design where it will actually be used: in print, on the vehicle, on the phone.
A worked example: HeimServ Hamburg
HeimServ is a Hamburg property management company. Alongside the technical build with Astro 5, it needed a corporate design that communicates reliability, signals the core competence in property, and stays WCAG 2.1 AA compliant.
The result is a design system with CSS design tokens that website, print and signage all draw from. The colour palette was calibrated to reach at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio on both light and dark backgrounds.
- 98 Lighthouse performance score
- WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility
- Design token system for long-term consistency
- Under 300 ms TTFB on the Vercel Edge Network

Common questions about corporate design
What is the difference between logo design and corporate design? +
A logo is a single brand symbol. Corporate design is the full visual system: logo, colours, typography, image language and layouts for every application. A logo without a system means each new piece of marketing material looks different. Corporate design is what makes you recognisable across channels.
Can I keep my existing logo and only add the design system? +
Yes. If your logo already works, we build the design system around it. We check first whether it scales, for instance whether a vector file exists. Where necessary we rework it slightly without changing the core identity.
How many design rounds are included? +
The Starter package includes two concepts and two revision rounds. Professional includes three concepts and unlimited revisions until final sign-off. With a thorough briefing, three rounds are usually enough.
Do I get full usage rights? +
Once payment is complete we transfer all usage rights in the created designs to you, including commercial use, further development and trademark registration. We keep the right to show the project in our portfolio.
Why consistent corporate design shows up in the numbers
According to the Design Management Institute, design-led companies returned 219 percent more than the S&P 500 average over a ten-year period. Bitkom's analysis "Design als Wettbewerbsfaktor" (2022) found that German SMEs investing in corporate design record on average a 15 percent higher repeat purchase rate than companies without a consistent visual identity.
For Hamburg businesses, whether in the port, in medical technology or in consulting, a considered corporate design is not a luxury but a way to stand apart. Customers remember brands that look consistent far more reliably.
